Terrorists? Homeland? Militants? Freedom Fighters? WTF?

Way too many people now accept the concepts of Terrorists and Terrorism without question, so maybe it’s time to think about how and why certain words are imposed on our minds. I think it’s called “managing perceptions”.

For example – did anyone in America think of our country as “The Homeland” before government propagandists coerced the mainstream media into using the term endlessly, and re-named every possible government agency and function as Homeland this and that? The Nazi propagandists would be proud that their legacy lives on.

And then there’s all those wars and military operations with catchy names designed to hide their true nature. “Operation Enduring Freedom” and pathetic shit like that.

So, to the subject of this post. Can anyone enlighten me on exactly when a particular group is to be called “militants”, “terrorists”, or “freedom-fighters”? I would really like to know who I should be hating on. Hate needs a target, doesn’t it?

Most people, whether informed or not, reasonably accept the idea that people who deliberately target, maim and kill vulnerable men, women and children, and who intentionally inflict fear, pain, suffering and death, are properly called “Terrorists”, and their actions are properly termed “Terrorism”.

We all hate and fear Terrorists, don’t we, and of course we all support the idea that “all options are on the table” to deal with them, right? We all want to do the right thing. Naturally. What “true patriot” wouldn’t feel that way?

But whoa there little patriot podners – let’s back up for a moment. I have a few questions here.

Don’t governments routinely inflict fear, pain, suffering and death upon vulnerable people in their own and other countries? Sure, they use organizations called “the military” and “law enforcement” to legitimatize their actions, but so what? We should, but don’t generally ask – what is the motive? What is the proper term for the people who commit these acts under cloak of being a “government”?

Don’t corporations routinely inflict fear, pain, suffering and death upon vulnerable people in their own and other countries? Sure, they use a metaphor called “business” to legitimatize their actions, but so what? We should, but don’t generally ask – what is the motive? What is the proper term for the people who commit these acts under cloak of “business”?

Don’t powerful and wealthy people routinely inflict fear, pain, suffering and death upon vulnerable people in their own society and worldwide? Sure, they use legal fictions like “politics” to disguise and hide their actions, but so what? We should, but don’t generally ask – what is the motive? What is the proper term for the people who commit these acts under cloak of being “the ruling classes”?

Don’t financial institutions routinely inflict fear, pain, suffering and death upon vulnerable people in their own countries and worldwide? Sure, they use a metaphor called “the economy” to legitimatize their actions, but so what? We should, but don’t generally ask – what is the motive? What is the proper term for the people who commit these acts under cloak of “managing the economy”?

Don’t religious institutions routinely inflict fear, pain, suffering and death upon vulnerable people in their own countries and worldwide? Sure, they use a metaphor called “God” to legitimatize their actions, but so what? We should, but don’t generally ask – what is the motive? What is the proper term for the people who commit these acts under cloak of “the will of God”?

All of these institutions, groups, institutions and organizations deliberately inflict fear, pain, suffering and death in service of their own agenda. Every one of them. They justify what they do in the name of something that they have carefully arranged to be perceived as socially acceptable – even beneficial. After all, government, business, money, and God are all good, right?

Somebody, I forget just who, said “By their deeds ye shall know them.” Seems to me that if it acts like a Terrorist, creating fear, pain, suffering and death, then it’s a Terrorist.

So, if the actual deeds of all these self-proclaimed good guys are terrorism, even if they try to hide their true nature under another name, then aren’t they revealed as Terrorists simply by their deeds?

All of these closet terrorist organizations that want to be seen as legitimate work tirelessly to distract the public mind by creating a special category composed of “Islamic radicals”, whose images and actions can easily be manipulated using the “Big Lie” technique.

The Big Lie has to be simple, because it is the simple-minded who are the targets. Government, business, wealth, military, church, and God – good. Terrorists – bad. Radical Islam – really, really bad. (Wrong God)

But – what if enough people stopped buying into the underlying agenda of the institutional use of words “Terrorist” and “Homeland” and started calling these people designated as radical Islamic terrorists – whose acts are truly despicable – something like “Revolutionaries”? 

That word has a whole different set of connotations, and none of these meanings can be co-opted by governments, corporations, the wealthy, banks, or churches – because all of them try hard to portray themselves as “good guy” revolutionaries. Clearly there’s no such thing as a good-guy “Radical Islamic Terrorist”.

Revolutionaries, on the other hand, can be good. Revolutionary deodorants. Revolutionary erectile dysfunction drugs. Revolutionary Coca Cola. 

No question about it – revolutionaries can be bad, especially political and economic revolutionaries. These revolutionaries engage in all the evil that those who they are fighting also engage in, and even though they may claim superior motives and morality, history has shown that most political/economic revolutionaries are simply thugs, like those they fight against. But even that kind of Revolutionary is different from a Terrorist, and so from time to time it suits even the ruling classes to portray themselves as revolutionaries, but never as terrorists.

Words matter, and the words “Terrorism” and “Terrorists” are an outstanding example of “The Big Lie” technique at work. We here in America – not the “Homeland”, but America – should be smart enough to not fall for the Big Lie technique – again. But, evidently, we are collectively not that smart.

That too is deliberate strategy.

Dumb them down, drug them up, keep them poor, make them hate each other, scare the shit out of them, control what they think, grab all the money and power and rule forever.

Works for the closet terrorists. Always has. Always will.

Campi Flegrei – Not Your Average Nightmare

cfWho hasn’t heard the story of Mount Vesuvius and the immolation of thousands of people in Pompeii? The petrified remains of those people, posed forever in their death agonies, are a popular tourist attraction. “Gosh, look at the pain and suffering on that poor woman’s face. Just imagine ….”

Meanwhile, life goes on in the shadow of the great volcano. Of course Neopolitans are aware that at any moment Vesuvius can and no doubt will erupt again, but meanwhile la dolce vita trumps worries over an event that is in the future somewhere and, anyway, can’t be prevented.

Those of us who are fascinated by stories of the world’s great volcanos have recently been alerted to an even bigger story than the lively magma circulating underneath Vesuvius – the largely ignored story of a huge caldera on the other side of the Bay of Naples named Campi Flegrei.

Do you think that the projections of global winter if Yellowstone erupts, as many believe that it will, are accurate? Well friends and fellow disaster aficionados, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Yet life goes on.

We’re worried about war in the Middle East. We’re disturbed by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We’re tired of hearing about Iraq. We’re eager to see some kind of resolution to Iran’s aggression. We’re afraid that Pakistan and India are going to nuke each other. We’re unhappy over China’s world-class pollution. We’re hoping that the murderous situation in the Philippines will end soon. We’re fed up hearing about the crime and violence in Mexico and Central America. We’re nervous that the San Andreas fault may let go. We don’t trust anything we read in the MSM. And the new American administration either horrifies or excites us. And don’t even get us started on the Heroin epidemic, evil bankers, rampant obesity and lurking terrorists.

Yes indeed, bad shit is happening all over the world

Funny thing though – it’s all irrelevant if Campi Flegrei lets loose. Even though the few headlines that have appeared lately are pretty ominous in that regard, they are NOTHING compared with what the scientists who have been studying Campi Flegrei for the last several decades have to say.
But hey, who has the time to read long-winded scientific studies? Well, maybe you do, and if you do, you might want to set aside an hour or so and really, really focus on this one. Because if these guys are right – and their data looks REALLY solid, then it isn’t going to be long before all those worrisome trouble spots listed above shrink to insignificance underneath the world-wide cloud of fire and ash from Campi Flegrei.

You may want to pay special attention to how closely the data from Campi Flegrei match up with similar gas composition, flow and sequence data from other mega-volcanos that have been studied before they blew. Not on the massive scale of this one, when and if she blows, but the data curves from several previous big, bad boys are eerily close and point to something happening soon.

Beginning with the biggest eruption since the age of the (end of) Dinosaurs, exploding underneath the Bay of Naples, and spreading fire, poisonous gas and ash over most of the Northern Hemisphere in a week or so, this will be an extinction event to end all extinction events.

Global nuclear war? Fuggedaboutit. GNW would be quick and relatively painless compared to the years of freezing, dark, hopeless death by starvation that would be the fate of virtually everyone north of the equator. And no amount of prepping will change fate one little bit except by extending the suffering of the prepared ones. That’s if Campi Flegrei blows while you and I are still among the living. If we are not, we would be able to count ourselves among the lucky ones, if we could.

So, why am I writing a post like this in a blog dedicated to uplifting the spirit of Mama Coca? Because it’s just possible that the Andes mountains that are the home to Mama Coca and her people might survive the extinction of the people of the North, and if that happens then I hope that the Spirit of Mama Coca will keep her people safe, keep them from hunger and sickness, and perhaps enable them to re-build a human civilization that is more human and less satanic than the so-called civilization that the people of the North have inflicted on the world for far too many generations.

If you read what these scientists say, the moment when Campi Flegrei accomplishes what all the wars in history have never achieved is not too far off. And it will happen, when it happens, in the blink of an eye.

The true translation of the famed “Eat, drink and be merry” Epicurean creed is “Eat, drink, and enjoy all the pleasures of the flesh, for after death there will be no more desire.” True, that.

Today I read a story about a three-stage rocket that has just put a spy satellite into orbit.

“… a respected independent satellite analyst said before launch that he believed the payload likely is the first in a new series of communications stations designed to relay imagery from current and future high-resolution optical spy satellites.

The conclusion was based on the rocket’s trajectory …. indicated the satellite was bound for an orbit 22,300 miles above the equator where communications relay stations are positioned.

This was the 64th successful launch in a row of an Atlas 5 since the rocket’s maiden flight in 2002 and the fourth of 10 flights planned this year. It was the 70th flight of an RD-180 first-stage engine and the 13th for the Centaur stage’s RL10C-1 engine.”

I’m thinking – wow, that’s a whole lot of satellites just for one rocket model. And I’m thinking, shaking my head, that when you take every launch in the past ten years you have 500+ satellites our peaceful democratic state has in orbit.

Hey, I start thinking, it must be all those satellites that let young dudes sitting front of TVs in Nevada kill everyone in a house in Pakistan in real time.

Then I started thinking, holy shit, it won’t be long before they can see through walls from space, and listen to people’s voices and match voiceprints, or spot a particular person walking down the street in Kabul or Kansas City, and pinpoint the exact location of any person they want. (Already can.)

The weapons are still a little messy – blowing up innocent people by accident and all. But it won’t be long before we’ll simply be able to zap someone with a beam from space. (Already can.)

Er- correction. They will be able to zap anyone from space. Right through the top of their goddamn terrorist head. Poof. Anyone. Anywhere. Any terrorist. Walking down the street. Sleeping. Taking a shit in an outhouse (nobody can say those guys in Nevada don’t have a sense of humor).

And They are not Us because you can bet that any of Us who get out of hand starting sometime in the near future will get the old terrorist treatment from space pretty damned quick.

See – They have these secret courts that They can go to and get permission to kill anyone, anywhere, including now any of Us because its legal for the US government to hunt and kill Americans as long as the secret courts agree, and the courts always agree.

So They are all fucking set, aren’t They? Because that shitload of satellites up there in space isn’t about making our smartphone reception better.

And I totally missed all this the past few years except to notice the pretty pictures of “another successful rocket launch with a communications satellite” once in a while.

Silly me.
